Tars Set To Battle Eckerd Wednesday.

 The Rollins College Tars return home to face the Eckerd College Tritons on Wednesday at Warden Arena. You can catch all the action on RollinsSports.com and on 91.5 FM WPRK Winter Park with Jim "Shooter"Ferro and Robert Siegel on the call. 

 Rollins (8-9 3-6 SSC) is coming off a 90-83 overtime win at Saint Leo on Saturday. The Tars were led by 28 points from Hutton Yenor, Kyle Marion added 25, Cade Long tallied 13, and Dayton Gumm scored 11. They shot 59 percent from the field and 33 percent (6-18) from the 3-point line in the contest. They also shot at a 70 percent clip (14-20) from the free throw line. The Tars average 79.5 points per game, while they allow 80.7 points per contest. They shoot 49 percent from the field and 38 percent from the 3-point line on the season. They also shoot at a 74 percent clip from the free throw line. They are being out rebounded by 3.1 (34.4-37.5 rebounds per contest.) Yenor leads the team in scoring at 19.3 points per game while Marion is getting 18.3 per night. Brooks Cluxton is also averaging double figures putting up 10.5 points per contest. Cluxton also leads the team in rebounding getting 8.6 per night. Gumm leads the team in assists at more than four per contest. 

Eckerd (2-10 0-9 SSC) is still looking for their first conference win of the season. Last time out they were a 67-46 loser to Embry-Riddle which was the teams third straight loss. Daniel Love led the Tritons with 16 points and Joshua Galloway tallied 14 in the loss. They shot 36 percent from the field, 25 percent (3-12) from the 3-point line, and 88 percent (7-8) at the free throw line. The Tritons score 63.8 points per game while they give up 70 per night. They are shooting 42 percent from the field and 32 percent from the 3-point line on the campaign. They also shoot 75 percent from the free throw line and are being out rebounded by 2.7 (33.1-35.8) boards per contest. Gianfranco Grafals leads the team in scoring at 18.3 points per game, Love puts up 14.8 points per night to go along with 5.8 rebounds per contest, David Swedura also averages in double figures at 10.5 points per night.
