Rollins Knocks Off Barry.

 The Rollins College Tars went down to Miami Shores and picked up their first conference win of the season as they knocked off Barry 86-79. With the win Rollins improves to 4-4 and 1-2 in the SSC. Barry falls to 3-3 and 1-2 in the SSC. 

 Kyle Marion paced the Tars with 18 points, Matheus Silviera netted 17 and grabbed nine rebounds, John Latimer knocked down three 3-pointer on his way to 16 points, while Hutton Yenor tallied 14. Rollins shot 55.8 percent from the field, 57.1 percent (8-14) from the 3-point line, 74 percent (20-27) from the free throw line. 

Nick Anderson led Barry with 29, Malik Stanley scored 12, and both Jason Williams and Rusty Moorer scored 10. Barry shot 39.7 percent from the field, 37.8 percent (14-37) from the 3-point line and 78.6 percent (11-14) at the free throw line. 

 Rollins led 8-4 early on in this one. Barry used the hot shooting of Anderson to get the lead. A trio of 3-pointer's by Cody Potter gave Rollins a 23-22 lead. Barry went on a run of their own to go back on top 33-25. Rollins would then run off the next nine points to go back on top 34-33 after a Latimer triple. Barry took a 42-41 lead heading into the locker room. 

 Potter and Silviera led the Tars with nine each in the first half. On the other side Anderson scored 16 in the first 20 minutes. 

 The game was knotted at 52 about five minutes later after a Cam Corcoran 3-ball. After Barry went up 56-53 lead Latimer drilled another triple to tie it at 56. Rollins would go on a big run and open up an 11 point lead (76-65) with 3:42 on the clock. Barry would make one last run to get to within three (82-79) with 31 seconds to go but Rollins would seal it at the free throw line. 

 Rollins will head to Las Vegas on December 18th when they take on #23 Dominican (NY) before facing #11 Missouri Saint Louis the next day in the Las Vegas Holiday Shootout.
