Rollins Looks To Stay Perfect As They Travel To PBA Saturday.

 The Rollins Tars will look to stay perfect on Saturday as they will travel to West Palm Beach to take on the Palm Beach Atlantic Sailfish on Saturday at Rubin Arena. The game is scheduled to tip at 7 PM and you can catch all the action on 91.5 FM WPRK Winter Park and around the world at RollinsSports.com with Jim "Shooter" Ferro and Robert Segal on the call. 

 Rollins (3-0) is coming off a 84-74 upset at #2 Flagler earlier this week. Kyle Marion scored 21 of his career high 31 points to pace the Tars in the win. Cody Potter had 15, Hutton Yenor scored 14, Dayton Gumm tallied 12, and Brooks Cluxton added a double-double with 10 points and 13 rebounds at Flagler Gym. In the previous two games the Tars knocked off Benedict (75-68) and Auburn-Montgomery (101-77.) Rollins comes into the contest averaging 86.7 points per game, while they are allowing 73 per night. The Tars are shooting 50 percent as a team including 44 percent from the 3-point line. They have made 10.7 3-pointer's per contest in the first three. The Tars are averaging five more assists per game (19.3-14.0) than the opposition. They are also getting 9.7 steals per contest, and swatting two shots per night as a team. 

 Marion is pacing four players in double figures as he is putting up 22.7 points per contest, Yenor is getting 14.3 per game, Sergey Grishaev is contributing 11 per night, and Gumm rounds out the double digit scorers at 10 per contest. Brooks Cluxton leads the Tars on the glass at 9.3 per game, while Yenor and Gumm share the team lead with 11 assists through three games. 

 The Salifish (1-2) are coming off their first win of the season on Wednesday when they knocked off Florida National 78-52. This was after a pair of losses to Lee (Tn) in a 71-68 contest, and  West Georgia in a 83-63 defeat. The Sailfish come into Saturday averaging 73 points per night while they allow 72 per contest. Will Lee is the only PBA player averaging in double figures at 12.3 per game, he is followed by Alexander Gorton (9.7 per night-) Jalen Cooper (9.3 per game,) and Jules Jasmin at 9 points per contest. Cooper leads the Sailfish on the glass at 5.7 rebounds per game while Lee leads PBA with 16 assists thus far on the year. The Salifish are out rebounding the opposition by nearly three boards per night (34.7-32.0 RPG.)

 The Rollins College Tars went down to Miami Shores and picked up their first conference win of the season as they knocked off Barry 86-79. With the win Rollins improves to 4-4 and 1-2 in the SSC. Tars Set To Battle Eckerd Wednesday.

 The Rollins College Tars return home to face the Eckerd College Tritons on Wednesday at Warden Arena. Marion, Silveira, Barnhizer combine for 51 in Road Loss To Florida Tech.

 Rollins College got a combined 51 points from the trio of Matheus Silveira, Kyle Marion, and Braxton Barnhizer but it was not nearly enough in a 96-73 road loss to Florida Tech at the Charles & Ruth Clemente Center. With the loss Rollins drops to 3-3 (0-1 SSC.) The Panthers improve to a perfect 6-0 on the season.   Barnhizer hit a pair of 3-pointer's in the games first 1:47 and the Tars led 6-1. Chase Thompson and Rashaan Edwards hit triples of their own to put the Panthers up 7-6. Barnhizer's third straight triple gave Rollins a 9-7 lead at the 16:55 mark of the first half. The lead was short-lived as a 3-pointer and a layup by Thompson put FIT ahead by a score of 12-9. Silveira and McCullough traded dunks before a Silveira jumper trimmed the Panthers lead to one (14-13) five minutes into this one.
