Tars Head To Saint Augustine To Battle Flagler Tuesday.

 The Rollins Tars (2-0) head to Saint Augustine to take on the Flagler Saints (1-1) at Flagler Gymnasium on Tuesday night. Tip time is scheduled for 7 PM. The game will be the first road game of the season for the Tars, while it will be the home opener for the Saints. 

 In the first two games of the season, Rollins is averaging 88 points per game while they are allowing 72.5 points per contest. Rollins is shooting 50 percent from the field, and 44 percent from the 3-point line in the young season. Another thing the Tars have done very well in the first two games is share the ball, as they average 22 assists per contest. 

 A trio of Tars led by Kyle Marion (18.5 points per game) are averaging double figures thus far this season. Marion is joined by Sergey Grishaev who is netting 15.5 points per night, and Hutton Yenor who is scoring 14.5 points per game. Brooks Cluxton leads the team on the boards averaging 7.5 rebounds per contest, while Yenor is getting 6.5 rebounds per night. Dayton Gumm is leading the team in assists at 4.5 per contest. 

  The Saints (1-1) is scoring 82 points per night, while they are allowing 70.5 per contest. They are shooting 47 percent from the field, and are making 11 3-pointer's per night. Flagler is +4.5 rebounds per night (41-36.5.) They are averaging 17 assists a game as a team as well. 

  Jazec Lottie paces the Saints, as he is pouring in 27 points per night, while the only other Flagler player to join him in double figures in the early season is Curis Lewis at 11.5 points per contest. Lottie also leads the team in assists at 6.5 per game, while Jalen Barr leads the team in rebounding grabbing 10 per night.

 The Rollins College Tars went down to Miami Shores and picked up their first conference win of the season as they knocked off Barry 86-79. With the win Rollins improves to 4-4 and 1-2 in the SSC. Tars Set To Battle Eckerd Wednesday.

 The Rollins College Tars return home to face the Eckerd College Tritons on Wednesday at Warden Arena. Marion, Silveira, Barnhizer combine for 51 in Road Loss To Florida Tech.

 Rollins College got a combined 51 points from the trio of Matheus Silveira, Kyle Marion, and Braxton Barnhizer but it was not nearly enough in a 96-73 road loss to Florida Tech at the Charles & Ruth Clemente Center. With the loss Rollins drops to 3-3 (0-1 SSC.) The Panthers improve to a perfect 6-0 on the season.   Barnhizer hit a pair of 3-pointer's in the games first 1:47 and the Tars led 6-1. Chase Thompson and Rashaan Edwards hit triples of their own to put the Panthers up 7-6. Barnhizer's third straight triple gave Rollins a 9-7 lead at the 16:55 mark of the first half. The lead was short-lived as a 3-pointer and a layup by Thompson put FIT ahead by a score of 12-9.
