Tars Look To Bounce Back Wednesday.

 The Rollins College Tars (4-2) look to bounce back from a 94-89 loss to Southeastern when they battle Puerto Rico Bayamon on Wednesday afternoon. Tip time is set for 2 PM and you can catch all the action on RollinsSports.com and on 91.5 FM WPRK with Jim "Shooter" Ferro and Robert Segal on the call. 

 The Tars come into Wednesday averaging 84.5 points per game, while they allow 78.7 points per contest. They are shooting 49 percent from the field, 42 percent from the 3-point line, and 81 percent at the free throw line. The Tars are being out rebounded by more than two per game (39.7-37.2.) They are 19.7 assists a game, and also are getting eight steals per contest. Kyle Marion is one of three Rollins players averaging double figures on the season as he is putting up 20.5 points per game, Hutton Yenor is scoring 15.2 per contest, and Dayton Gumm is averaging 10.5 per game. Brooks Cluxton is averaging a team leading 8.3 rebounds per contest. 

 Puerto Rico Bayamon and the Tars have met six times with the Tars winning the last five. The last meeting was a 99-88 Rollins win.

 The Rollins College Tars went down to Miami Shores and picked up their first conference win of the season as they knocked off Barry 86-79. With the win Rollins improves to 4-4 and 1-2 in the SSC. Tars Set To Battle Eckerd Wednesday.

 The Rollins College Tars return home to face the Eckerd College Tritons on Wednesday at Warden Arena. Marion, Silveira, Barnhizer combine for 51 in Road Loss To Florida Tech.

 Rollins College got a combined 51 points from the trio of Matheus Silveira, Kyle Marion, and Braxton Barnhizer but it was not nearly enough in a 96-73 road loss to Florida Tech at the Charles & Ruth Clemente Center. With the loss Rollins drops to 3-3 (0-1 SSC.) The Panthers improve to a perfect 6-0 on the season.   Barnhizer hit a pair of 3-pointer's in the games first 1:47 and the Tars led 6-1. Chase Thompson and Rashaan Edwards hit triples of their own to put the Panthers up 7-6. Barnhizer's third straight triple gave Rollins a 9-7 lead at the 16:55 mark of the first half. The lead was short-lived as a 3-pointer and a layup by Thompson put FIT ahead by a score of 12-9.
