Rollins Heads To Vegas For Holiday Hoops Classic.

 The Rollins Tars (6-4 1-3 SSC) head to Las Vegas for the Holiday Hoops Classic on Friday and Saturday. Rollins will battle #1 Lubbock Christian (10-0) Friday at 7 PM Eastern time before battling Montana State Billings (4-6) Saturday at 3 PM. 

The Tars are coming off a huge 98-92 win over then #12 Barry on Saturday at Warden Arena. Hutton Yenor led four Rollins players in double figures with 25, while Brooks Cluxton scored 20, Sergey Grishaev added 18, and Kyle Marion netted 17. The Tars shot 55 percent from the floor, 44 percent (12-27) from the 3-point line, and 71 percent (12-17) at the free throw line. Rollins is averaging 84.6 points per game on the season, while they allow 82.1 points per contest. They are being out rebounded by 1.7 per contest (36.2-37.9.) They average 18.8 assists, 7.8 steals, and 2.4 blocks a night on the season. 

Marion leads the team in scoring at 19.3 points per night with Yenor not far behind netting 18.3 per contest. Cluxton leads the team on the glass averaging 7.9 rebounds per night, while Marion dishes out a team leading 3.8 assists per contest. 

The Chaps will put their unblemished record on the line when they battle the Tars Friday before taking on Western Washington on Saturday. Last time out was a 87-60 drubbing of Cameron University for LCU. That has been the norm so far this season as LCU is winning by an average of 22.7 points per night (80.3-57.6.) They shoot 52 percent from the field, 39 percent from the 3-point line, and 80 percent at the free throw line. LCU out rebounds the opposition by 6.8 per game (37.7-30.9.) They also average 17.2 assists per night. Parker Hicks leads four Chaps in double figures putting up 16.3 points per game while he hauls in 9.3 rebounds, and blocks one shot per contest. Lloyd Daniels scores 15.8 per game and dishes out a team leading 5.1 assists per contest while shooting 50 percent from the 3-point line. Aamer Muhhamad nets 14.6 per game, and Rowan Mackenzie scores 11.1 per night. 

 Montana State Billings will face #4 West Texas A&M before taking on the Tars on Saturday. The Yellow Jackets are coming off a 64-61 loss to Rocky Mountain last time out. Malik Brikat, Nicholas Sebastio, and Carrington Wiggins all had 10 in the defeat. MSUB is led by Wiggins who is scoring 17.8 points per game, while they are getting 15.3 per night along with a team leading 3.1 assists from Damen Thacker. MSUB averages 65.4 points per contest while they allow 67.1 per night on the defensive end. They out rebound the opponent by 1.8 per game (36.0-34.2.) They also get eight steals per night.
