Rollins Looks To Remain Hot As They Travel To Melbourne.

 The Rollins Tars (11-9 6-6 SSC) look to stay on a current four game hot streak when they travel to the Clemente Center in Melbourne to take on the Florida Tech Panthers (9-8 3-9 SSC) on Saturday. Tip time is slated for 4 PM.  The Tars have won four straight and are coming off of a 89-82 upset at #23 Embry Riddle on Wednesday. Brooks Cluxton led four Tars in double figures with 25 points to go along with 11 rebounds, and six assists, Hutton Yenor netted 22, Kyle Marion scored 20, and Dayton Gumm rounded out the double digit scorers with 11. Rollins shot 59 percent as a team, 33 percent (5-15) from the 3-point line, and 88 percent (22-25) from the free throw line. The Tars are sixth in the conference scoring 80.6 points per game, while defensively they are giving up an SSC ninth best 80 points per contest. They shoot 49 percent from the floor which is second in the SSC as well as an SSC fourth best 37 percent from the 3-point line. They are shooting at a 75 percent clip from the free throw line which is good for second in the conference. On the glass the Tars are being out rebounded by 3.1 (34.9-38.0) boards per night which is 10th in the SSC.  Yenor leads the team and is fifth in the SSC putting up 19.5 points per game while Marion is eighth in the MEC putting up 18.5 points per night. Cluxton is also averaging in double figures putting up 12 points per night and is third in the SSC grabbing 9.6 rebounds per night. In the first meeting with Florida Tech back on December 4th the Tars were a 92-77 loser. Yenor had 25. Gumm netted 17, and Cluxton tallied 14 in the loss. The Tars shot 43 percent from the field and 31 percent (11-36) from the 3-point line in that game. They also shot 62 percent (8-13) at the free throw line. 

 The Panthers come in losers of six straight. Last time out they were a 81-78 loser to Florida Southern on Wednesday. Niall Harris led FIT with 23, Season Russell had 20, Runako Ziegler added 16, and Mate Papai netted 12. The Panthers shot 37 percent from the field, 25 percent (7-28) from the 3-point line, and 84 percent (21-25) from the free throw line. The Panthers are eighth in the SSC scoring 80.2 points per game, while they allow an SSC sixth best 78.4 points per night. They shoot 44 percent from the field which is 10th in the conference and 31 percent from the 3-point line which is 11th in the SSC. Sesan Russell leads the Panthers in scoring at 16.1 points per game while he dishes out 5.2 assists per night which is tops on the team and third in the conference. Mekhi Noble scores 15.7 points per game and leads the SSC hauling in 11.6 rebounds per night. Ziegler scores 13.9 points per game and Sean Houpt gets 13.1 per contest. On the glass the Panthers are fourth in the conference out rebounded the opposition by five (42-37) boards per night. 

In the first meeting against Rollins in December Houpt poured in 32 points, Noble recorded a double-double with 20 points and 10 rebounds,Russell stuffed the stat sheet with 17 points, eight rebounds, and seven assists, while Harris tallied 11. They shot 51 percent from the field, 48 percent (14-29) from the 3-point line, and 76 percent (16-21) from the free throw line.
