Trio Leads Tars To Opening Win.

 The Rollins College Tars opened the 2022-23 season on Friday night at the South Region Cross Over hosted by Benedict University on the campus of Benedict College. Led by the trio of Kyle Marion, Cam Corcoran, and Hutton Yenor Rollins slipped past the Auburn University Montgomery WarHawks 85-83. Yenor led Rollins with 20 points, Marion netted 18, and Corcoran knocked down five triples in his collegiate debut as the Tars hung on after a late rally by the Warhawks fell short. Jalen Gaston scored 27 points, and Joseph Lanzi had 23 to lead the WarHawks. With the win Rollins improves to 4-0 all time against AUM. The Tars will be back in action for day two of the South Region crossover when they take on the host Benedict Tigers. Rollins Knocks Off Barry.

 The Rollins College Tars went down to Miami Shores and picked up their first conference win of the season as they knocked off Barry 86-79. With the win Rollins improves to 4-4 and 1-2 in the SSC. Barry falls to 3-3 and 1-2 in the SSC.   Kyle Marion paced the Tars with 18 points, Matheus Silviera netted 17 and grabbed nine rebounds, John Latimer knocked down three 3-pointer on his way to 16 points, while Hutton Yenor tallied 14. Tars Set To Battle Eckerd Wednesday.

 The Rollins College Tars return home to face the Eckerd College Tritons on Wednesday at Warden Arena. The Tars were led by 28 points from Hutton Yenor, Kyle Marion added 25, Cade Long tallied 13, and Dayton Gumm scored 11. Marion, Silveira, Barnhizer combine for 51 in Road Loss To Florida Tech.

 Rollins College got a combined 51 points from the trio of Matheus Silveira, Kyle Marion, and Braxton Barnhizer but it was not nearly enough in a 96-73 road loss to Florida Tech at the Charles & Ruth Clemente Center. With the loss Rollins drops to 3-3 (0-1 SSC.) The Panthers improve to a perfect 6-0 on the season.   Barnhizer hit a pair of 3-pointer's in the games first 1:47 and the Tars led 6-1. Chase Thompson and Rashaan Edwards hit triples of their own to put the Panthers up 7-6. Barnhizer's third straight triple gave Rollins a 9-7 lead at the 16:55 mark of the first half. The lead was short-lived as a 3-pointer and a layup by Thompson put FIT ahead by a score of 12-9. Silveira and McCullough traded dunks before a Silveira jumper trimmed the Panthers lead to one (14-13) five minutes into this one.
