Tars Set For Annual Vegas Trip.

 The Rollins College Tars are set for the teams annual trip to Las Vegas. This season the Tars (4-4 1-2 SSC) will play in the Holiday Hoops Classic. They will face #23 Dominican University (New York) on Sunday for a 2 PM tip before taking on #11 University of Missouri-St.Louis on Monday at 3:15 PM.  Rollins is coming off an 86-79 win at Barry a week ago. Kyle Marion led four Rollins players in double figures with 18 points, Matheus Silviera nearly notched a double -double (17 points and nine rebounds,) John Latimer continued his early season surge with 16 points, while Hutton Yenor netted 14. Rollins shot 55.8 percent from the field, 57.1 percent (8-14) from the 3-point line, and 74.1 percent (20-27) at the free throw line in the victory. 

 Rollins comes into the Vegas trip averaging 83.8 points per game while they give up 81.4 points per contest. They shoot 50.2 percent from the field, 47.5 percent from the 3-point line, and are shooting at a 71.2 percent clip from the free throw line. The Tars are out-rebounding the opposition by 1.5 (34.4-32.9) rebounds per night. Yenor leads the team in scoring at 20.5 points per game while he also leads the team on the glass at 5.3 rebounds per contest and in assists with 33. Marion scores 13.1 per game and Sliviera gets 10.6 per contest. 

Noting The Chargers: Dominican (9-1 3-0 CACC) is coming off a 69-63 win over Bridgeport last time out. Emmanuel Smith tallied 18 points and 12 rebounds to pace Dominican. Joshua Serrano knocked down three triple on his way to 13 points, while Justin Copman scored 12. The Chargers score 35.1 percent from the field, 30 percent (3-10) from the 3-point line, and 72.2 percent (26-36) from the free throw line in securing a fourth straight victory. The Chargers won the rebounding battle 43-41. 

 As a team they put up 76.3 points per game while they allow 75.7 points per contest. The Chargers shoot 46.2 percent from the floor and 44.2 percent from the 3-point line on the season. The Chargers are being out-rebounded by 2.8 (35.2-38.0 rebounds per night.) Johnson Wahaad leads the team in scoring at 16.8 points per game while Copman is the only other Charger to average double figures putting up 10.6 points per night to go along with a team leading 6.2 rebounds per night. Joshuel White leads the team in assists putting up 2.5 per contest. 

Noting the Tritons: Missouri St.Louis comes in a perfect 9-0 on the season and 4--0 in the GLVC. Last time out they knocked off Lewis 63-60. Victor Nwagbarocha paced the Tritons with 18 while Bowen Sandquist netted 15. The Tritons shot 44.4 percent from the field, 28.6 percent (6-21) from the 3-point line and 75 percent (9-12) from the free throw line. As a team UMSL scores 75.4 points per game while they are stingy on the defensive end allowing 59.2 points per contest. They shoot 51.2 percent from the field and 39.1 percent from distance on the year. They shoot a solid 77.7 percent at the free throw line. On the glass UMSL is getting 1.2 more (31.3-30.1) boards per contest. 

 Isaiah Fuller is the only Triton putting up double figures at 15 points per game. Sandquist puts up 9.9 per night and Nwagbarocha is scoring 9.3 per contest. On the glass Fuller and Dylan West share the team leading getting 4.3 caroms per contest while Donovan Vickers leads the team in assists with 32.
