Rollins Renews Rivalry With #18 Florida Southern In Winter Park.

 The Rollins College Tars and  #18 Florida Southern College Moccasins will renew the oldest rivalry in the Sunshine Set Conference Saturday. The two teams will square off from Warden Arena inside the Alfond Sports Center at 4 PM.  Rollins (7-8 4-4 SSC) has won two straight and is coming off a 81-72  win over Lynn on Wednesday. Kyle Marion returned and scored 20 points to go along with five rebounds and five assists after returning from injury. Hutton Yenor scored 13, as he returned from injury in the previous game. John Latimer also scored in double digits with 12 on the night. The Tars shot 49.2 percent from the field, 27.8 percent (5-18) from the 3-point line and 78.3 percent (18-23) from the free throw line. 

 Rollins is scoring a Sunshine State Conference ninth best 76.3 points per game while defensively they are seventh in the conference giving up 78.9 points per contest. Rollins shoots 46.8 percent from the field which is fourth in the conference while the opposition is eighth shooting 45.2 percent from the floor. Rollins continues to be the top shooting team from the 3-point line as they shoot 40.9 percent from 3-point land while the opposition 39.3 percent which makes the Tars the bottom team in the league at guarding the 3-point line. They shoot at a 75.3 percent clip from the free throw line which is third in the conference. On the glass the Tars are 10th in the conference being out rebounded by 0.7 (34.2-34.9) rebounds per night. 

 Yenor leads the team and is seventh in the conference putting up 17.9 points per game. He also leads the team grabbing 4.8 rebounds per contest. Yenor is also 10th in the SSC shooting at a 47.8 percent clip from the floor. Marion scores 13.5 points per game and leads the team and is seventh in the conference dishing out 3.8 assists per contest. 

The Moccasins (10-5 4-4 SSC) have lost three straight. Last time out they fell 71-64 to Saint Leo at home. Alex Steen led FSC with 18 points and 13 rebounds, Dominick Deny added 12, and Connor Raines tallied 11. The Mocs shot 32.9 percent from the floor, went 2-21 (9.5 percent) from the 3-point line and 80 percent (16-20) from the free throw line. The Mocs are second in the SSC putting up 88.1 points per game while defensively they give up 81.8 points per contest which is 10th in the SSC. They are third best shooting team from the floor shooting 46.9 percent while at the other end they are seventh as the opposition is shooting 44.1 percent from the field. The Mocs shoot an SSC third best 38.6 percent from the 3-point line while the opposition shoots the ball at a 34 percent clip which is sixth in the SSC. The Mocs are the top free throw shooting team in the league shooting 79.5 percent from the foul line. On the glass the Mocs are seventh in the conference out rebounding the opposition by 1.0 (39.3-38.3) rebounds per game. 

 Jaden Booth and EJ Damberville are scoring 18.5 points per game and 17.3 points per game which are fifth and ninth in the conference respectively. Dambreville leads the team and is fourth in the conference grabbing 8.6 rebounds per night. Tray Alexander leads the Mocs dishing out 4.4 assists which is fifth in the conference while Booth is 10th in the conference dishing out 3.5 assists per night. Luke Anderson leads the team and is fifth in the SSC getting 1.3 steals per game while Wes Bongiorno is just outside the leaders in the conference swatting 1.6 shots per game.
