Rollins Seeks Season Sweep Of Tampa Wednesday.

 The Rollins College Tars (10-10 6-6 SSC) seek the season sweep of the University of Tampa (7-11 6-6 SSC) on Wednesday night. You can catch all the action on 91.5 FM WPRK Winter Park and on the Sunshine State Conference Digital Network at SunshineStateConference.TV with Jim "Shooter" Ferro and Robert Segal on the call. Tip off is set for 7:30 PM. 

Rollins is coming off a 81-60 win over Florida Tech last time out. Hutton Yenor nearly posed a triple-double with 17 points, 12 assists, and nine rebounds in the contest. Both Matheus Silveira and Sergey Grishaev tallied 15 while Cade Long netted 10. Rollins shot 54.4 percent as a team, 52.6 percent (10-19) from the 3-point line and 75 percent (9-12) from the free throw line in the win. 

 Rollins scores an SSC sixth best 78.8 points per game while defensively they give up an SSC eighth best 80.2 points per night. They shoot 48.5 percent from the field which is third in the SSC, the opposition shoots 44.7 percent against the Rollins zone which is fifth in the conference. Rollins continues to lead the conference from the 3-point arc where they shoot 41 percent. At the other end the opposition shoots 39.3 percent from 3-point land which puts Rollins 10th in that category. The Tars shoot at a 74.4 percent clip from the free throw line which is sixth in the conference. On the glass the Tars are ninth in then conference being out rebounded by 0.2 (34.5-34.7) boards per contest. 

 Yenor leads Rollins and is sixth in the SSC putting up 18.9 points per game. The Timber Creek product leads the team in rebounding (5.2 per game,) dishes out 3.3 assists per night, and gets an SSC second best 2.5 steals per contest. He is eighth in the SSC in minutes played (32.1.) Kyle Marion puts up 13.2 points per game and leads the team, as well as being fourth in the SSC dishing out 4.0 assists per contest. He is also ninth in the SSC in steals at 1.6 per night. Silveira rounds out the double digit scorers putting up 11.2 points per night. In the first meeting with Tampa on 1.7 the Tars won 71-66. Yenor paced the Tars with 19, Long tallied 13, John Latimer had 12, and both Cody Potter and Silveira netted 11. 

 Tampa is coming off a 83-60 win over Lynn last time out. Mykah Brown poured in 33 points to pace the Spartans. He was joined in double figures by Jesse White with 14, Tyson Leitao with 11, and Jonathan Bryant scored 10. The Spartans shot 55 percent from the field, 40 percent (8-20) from the 3-point line and 68 percent (13-19) from the free throw line. Tampa scores an MEC 11th best 70.5 points per game, defensively they are fifth giving up 75.7 points per night. The Spartans shoot 43.7 percent from the field which is 10th in the conference, on the other end the opposition shoots 44.8 percent which is sixth in the conference. The Spartans shoot the 3-ball at 34.4 percent which is seventh in the SSC, they are sixth at guarding the 3-point line as the opposition is shooting 34 percent. From the free throw line Tampa shoots an SSC second best 76.7 percent. On the glass the Spartans are fourth out rebounding the opposition by 3.0 (37.4-34.4) boards per night. 

Brown leads Tampa scoring 16.3 points per game, Bryant also averages in double figures at 10 per contest. Leitao is the rebounding leader getting an SSC third best 8.7 per night. Jacob Harris dishing out 2.6 assists which leads Tampa. In the first meeting with Rollins Brown scored 16, White added 15, and De'Andre Harvey tallied 11.
