Rollins Looks For Sweep Of Lynn In Boca Raton.

 The Rollins College Tars (11-12 7-8 SSC) look for a win and season sweep of the Lynn Fighting Knights (4-17 2-14 SSC) in Boca Raton on Saturday at 4 PM. Rollins made a furious rally to face overtime on Wednesday but lost to Florida Southern for the second time in overtime on the campaign. This time the final was 124-113, after losing 111-106 in Winter Park in the first meeting. On Wednesday Hutton Yenor poured in 35 points, Matheus Silveira added added 20 and eight rebounds, Kyle Marion scored 19, John Latimer tallied 14, and Cody Potter chipped in 10. 

 In the first meeting with Lynn which the Tars won 81-72 on 1.11 Marion scored 20, Yenor netted 13, and Latimer scored 12. The Tars score 80 points per game which is sixth in the SSC while defensively they are ninth giving up 81.5 points per contest. The Tars shoot an SSC fourth best 47.8 percent from the field but defensively they are in the middle of the pack (sixth) allowing the opposition to shoot 44.7 percent from the floor, The Tars are also fourth in 3-point shooting in the conference shooting 38.8 percent from long distance. Defensively they are near the bottom of the conference (10th) allowing the opposition to shoot 39.3 percent. Rollins shoots an SSC fourth best 75.6 percent from the charity stripe. On the glass the Tars are -1.3 (35.1-36.4) rebounds per night which is ninth in the conference. 

 Yenor leads the team and is fourth in the conference putting up 19.9 points per game which is good for 36th in the nation. The Timber Creek product also leads the team in rebounds at 5.3 per contest. Yenor leads the SSC in steals (2.6) which is fourth in all of Division II. His 54 steals total are sixth in the country. Yenor is just outside the top 10 shooting at a 50 percent clip from the field as well. Marion has been consistent all season as well putting up 13 points per game, dishing out a team leading and SSC fourth best four assists per contest, Marion is also ninth in the conference in steals at 1.7 per contest. Yenor and Marion are sixth and 17th in the conference respectively in minutes played. Silveria also scores in double figures putting up 12.2 points per contest. 

 Lynn comes in to Saturday on a six game losing streak. The most recent being a 82-58 drubbing against Barry last time out. Nordin Kapic scored 26 for Lynn on Wednesday, while both Jalen Gilmore and Jamison Evans tallied 10. In the first meeting with Rollins Kapic scored 29, Jimel Lane had 22 and Evans tallied 14. 

 The Fighting Knights are scoring 73.7 points per game which is 10th in the conference while defensively they are the bottom team in the conference allowing 86.5 points per contest. Lynn shoots 45.2 percent from the field which is good for sixth in the SSC, defensively they are allowing the opposition to shoot 51 percent (11th SSC.) They are shooting 31.1 percent from the 3-point line and allowing the opposition to shoot 39.9 percent from long range which are both worst in the conference. The Fighting Knights are also worst in the conference shooting free throws as they shoot at a 68.7 percent clip. On the glass the Fighting Knights are also worst, being out-rebounded by 3.2 (36.3-33.1) boards per night. 

 Kopic paces three players in double figures putting up 19.3 points per game which is sixth in the SSC. He also leads the league in rebounding grabbing 10.1 per contest. Lane (17.9 points per game) and Evans (10 per contest) also average in double figures. Jalen Gilmore leads the team in assists (4.9 per game) which is third in the SSC.
