Rollins Set To Battle ERAU On The Road

 The Rollins College Tars (13-13 9-9 SSC) are set to battle the Embry-Ridde Eagles (17-8 10-8 SSC) on Wednesday night in Daytona Beach at the ICI Center.  Rollins is coming off a 82-76 win over Eckerd last time out. Matheus Silveira led the Tars with 24 points and pulled down a team leading 10 rebounds, Kyle Marion added 19 points, eight rebounds, and five assists, Hutton Yenor scored 18 to go with five boards and dished out five assists, while Cade Long tallied 12 off the bench. Rollins is sixth offensively scoring 79.8 points per game while defensively they are ninth giving up 81.3 points per night. They shoot an SSC fourth best 48 percent from the field while on defense they allow the opposition to shoot an SSC fifth best 44.8 percent from the field. Rollins shoots 38 percent from 3-point land which is fourth in the SSC while defensively they are near the bottom allowing the opposition to shoot 38.5 percent from distance which is 10th in the SSC. The Tars are fourth in the SSC in free throw shooting shooting at a 76 percent clip. On the glass Rollins is ninth as they are being out rebounded by 0.1 (35.5-35.6) boards per contest. 

 Yenor leads the team and is fourth in the SSC scoring 19.8 points per game. He leads the team and is second in the conference getting 2.5 steals per night. The Timber Creek product is playing 33.5 minutes per game which is sixth in the SSC. He also leads the team on the glass getting 5.4 rebounds per contest. Marion averages 13.4 points per game and leads the team as well as being fourth in the conference dishing out 4.1 assists per contest. Marion also gets 1.7 steals per game which is eighth in the SSC. Silveira also scores in double figures putting up 12.5 points per game. He is also fourth in the conference in blocked shots (1.1 per game) and second in the SSC shooting 62 percent from the floor. 

 In the first meeting with ERAU, a 88-82 loss back in November Yenor had 22, Silveira scored 17, Marion tallied 16, and Long notched 14. 

 ERAU is coming off a 98-75 loss to Florida Southern last time out. Michel McAlister netted 20, while Chris Murray was the only Eagle in double figures with 19. 

ERAU scores 80.9 points per game which is good for fifth in the MEC while on defense they allow an SSC second best 73.9 per night. They shoot 45.9 percent from the field which is fifth in the SSC while they hold the opposition to 43.3 percent shooting which is third in the conference. From the 3-point line they are ninth in the SSC shooting at a 32..5 percent clip while they hold the opposition to 31.8 percent shooting which is tops in the league. The Eagles struggle at the free throw line as they shoot an SSC 10th best 71.5 percent. They are the top rebounding team in the SSC as they get 9.2 (41.9-32.7) more rebounds than the opposition. 

Malcolm Whitlow leads the team and is just outside the top ten scoring 17.7 points per night. Murray adds 16.6 per game and McCalister gets 10.5 points to round out the double digit scorers. Mcalister (8.1) and Murray (7.5) lead the team on the glass which is good for fifth and sixth respectively in the SSC. Murray is 10th in the SSC dishing out 3.3 assists per night which leads the team. Murray is also eighth in the conference blocking one shot per night.
