Saint Leo Comes To Winter Park For SSC Battle.

 The Rollins College Tars (12-12 8-8 SSC) take on the Saint Leo Lions (18-9 9-7 SSC) at Warden Arena inside the Alfond Sports Center tomorrow night (Wednesday.) Tip time is scheduled for 7:30 PM and you can catch all the action on 91.5 FM WPRK Winter Park as well as on the Sunshine State Conference Digital Network at SunshineStateConference.TV 

 Rollins is coming off a 78-73 win over Lynn last time out. Hutton Yenor led four players in double figures with 22 points as well as having nine rebounds, and four assists. He was joined in double figures by Kyle Marion (20 points.) Cade Long (11,) and Matheus Silveira (10.) In the first meeting with the Lions that Rollins won 98-95 in overtime on 1.18 Yenor paced the Tars with 27, Sergey Grishaev notched 21, Marion tallied 19, and Long scored 12. 

 The Tars score 80 points per game which is sixth in the SSC while they give up 81.2 points per game which is ninth in the conference. Rollins shoots an SSC fourth best 47.8 percent from the field while they hold the opposition to 44.6 percent shooting which is fifth in the conference. Rollins is also fourth in the league shooting 38.5 percent from the 3-point line while the opposition is shooting 39 percent from the 3-point line which makes them the 10th best team guarding the 3-point arc. The Tars shoot an SSC fourth best 75.9 percent from the free throw line while they are ninth on the glass being out-rebounded by 1.1 (35.2-36.3) boards per night. 

 Yenor leads the Tars and is fourth in the conference scoring 20 points per game. The Timber Creek product shoots 49.4 percent from the floor, Yenor also leads the team in rebounds (5.5 per night.) He is second in the conference in steals (2.5) and sixth in minutes played (33.2)  Marion scores 13.3 points per game, leads the Tars in assists (SSC fourth best four per night) and gets an SSC seventh best 1.8 steals per contest. Silveira also scores in double figures (12.1 per night) and is second in the league in field goal percentage (60.1) 

 The Lions are coming off a 109-84 loss to top ranked Nova Southeastern last time out. Logan Ryan and Kanin Koster each scored 17, Marty Jackson added 14, and Jared Coomer tallied 11. As a team they score 83.7 points per game which is third in the SSC while defensively they are also third allowing 74.9 points per game. They shoot 40.1 percent from the 3-point line which is third in the conference, and are the second best team in the SSC guarding the 3-point line (32.5 percent.) They shoot 76.6 percent from the free throw line (third in the SSC.) Saint Leo is eighth in the SSC on the glass (34.3-33.9) boards per contest. 

 Jackson leads the team in scoring at 17.1 points per game, Koster scores 16.4 per night, and Grant Disked tallies 13.4 points per game. Jackson and Cantia Rahming share the team lead on the glass grabbing 6.2 boards per contest and Disken leads the team in assists at three per night. 

 In the first meeting with Rollins Koster had 29, Jackson added 25, Logan Ryan tallied 20, and Disken netted 11.
