Yenor, Marion Power Rollins To Sweep Of Lynn.

 The Rollins College Tars got 22 points, 9 rebounds, and four assists from Hutton Yenor while Kyle Marion added 20 in a 78-73 win over Lynn that completed the season sweep of the Fighting Knights in Boca Raton. With the win Rollins improves to 12-12 overall and 8-8 in the SSC. Lynn lost a seventh straight contest as they fall to 4-18 and 2-15 in the SSC. 

 Lynn jumped out to a 13-4 lead early in this one. Rollins trailed 20-7 before they went on a 5-0 run to get to within eight. Down 27-18 Rollins went on a 8-0 run to get to within a point (27-26) after a pair of Yenor layups. Rollins took the lead on a Marion 3-pointer with 2:44 in the opening stanza. The game would be knotted at 34 as the two teams would head into their respective locker rooms. 

 The Tars shot 46.7 percent in the first half, 3-8 from the 3-point line, and 3-4 from the free throw line. On the other side for the Fighting Knights they shot 47 percent from the field, 3-10 from the 3-point line, and went 1-1 from the free throw line. 

 Rollins would open up an 11 point lead (49-38) after a Yenor 3-ball with 15:45 to go. Lynn battled back and knotted the game at 54 after a Kapic 3-pointer at the 9:28. The lead went back and forth several times until Lynn took a five point advantage (69-64) on a Jalen Gilmore hoop with 3:25 to go. Marion scored for Rollins but a Gilmore triple made it a six point game. Rollins would counter with an 8-0 run as a pair of Laitimer free throws put the Tars on top 74-72 with 32 seconds to play. Jamison Evans split a pair of free throws at one end and after Cade Long secured the rebound he knocked down both foul shots to make it a three point Rollins lead with five ticks remaining. After Gilmore missed a pair of free throws Marion would seal it at the free throw line and the season sweep of Lynn. 

 Joining Yenor and Marion in double figures were Long with 11 while Silveira had 10. Latimer came off the bench to score nine points. The Tars shot 48 percent, 29 percent (4-14) from the 3-point line, and 86 percent (12-14) from the free throw line. The Tars had 12 assists and 13 turnovers in this one. 

 Kapic led Lynn with 25- Braxton Bartlett had 15, and Gilmore tallied 10. Lynn shot 44 percent from the field, 29 percent (7-24) from the 3-point line, and 71 percent (12-17) at the free throw line. They had 18 assists and 13 turnovers in the contest. 

Rollins will be back in action Wednesday when they host Saint Leo. Tip time is slated for 7:30 PM.
