Rollins Set To Host Spring Hill In Season Opener.

 The Rollins College Tars coming off a 15-15 season last year will open the 2023-24 campaign tomorrow (11/11) when they take on the Spring Hill College Badgers at Warden Arena inside the Alfond Sports Center. You can catch all the action on the Rollins College radio network at 91.5 FM WPRK Winter Park with Jim "Shooter" Ferro and Robert Segal. Tip time is set for 1:30 PM. 

 Tom Klusman returns for his 43rd year on the sidelines for the Tars. Klusman comes into the season with an overall record of 746-471. The Tars lose a key cog from the offense the last couple of years in Hutton Yenor but return plenty of firepower. Kyle Marion is the teams top returning scorer at 14.2 points per game, he also led the team with 109 assists last season. Matheus Silveira also averaged in double figures last season at 12.4 points per game to go with 4.9 rebounds per contest. Other returners who contributed last season include Cade Long (nine points per night,) Cody Potter (5.3 points per contest,) Sergey Grishaev (four points per game,) Jaden Frazier (3.5 points and 3.7 rebounds per contest) and Rivers Lenholt who appeared in 12 games last season. 

 The Badgers (from Alabama) played Mobile in an exhibition and fell 79-76. Spring Hill was 8-18 last season before being bounced by Edward Waters in the SIAC tournament. Steven Lyles is the top returning scorer for the Badgers as he started  25 games and netted 11.7 points per contest. Isaiah Veal played in nine games and averaged 8.7 points per night, Bo Barber scored six points per game and had a team leading 61 assists, Timothy Reilly averaged 5.9 points per game, Eli Lenihan and Collin Coates put up 4.2 and 3.0 points per game respectively, and. Luka Erdtmann appeared in 20 games.
