Rollins Looks To Snap Skid.

Rollins lost a pair of games in the Daytona Beach shootout before the holiday break. After falling to Angelo State 70-55, the Tars were a 81-70 loser to Montana State Billings the following day. Four Tars scored in double figures led by 20 points from Matheus Silveira. Kyle Marion and Sergey Grishaev each had 15, while Cade Long had 10 in the loss. Rollins is 11th in the SSC scoring 74.2 points per game while on defense they give up an SSC fifth best 76.1 points per night. They shoot 44.8 percent from the field which is 10th in the conference while the opposition shoots 44.6 percent which puts them eighth in the conference on the defensive end. Rollins shoots an SSC 11th best 29.2 percent from the 3-point line and allows the opposition to shoot 35.5 percent which is 10th in the SSC. The Tars shoot an SSC tied for second best 76.5 percent from the free throw line while they are tied for ninth in the SSC being out rebounded by 0.7 (34.9-35.6) rebounds per night. They are fifth in the conference blocking 3.7 shots per game. Silveria leads the team in scoring an SSC seventh best 17.5 points per game and is joined in double figures by Marion at 15.5 points per night. Silveira leads the team in rebounding at 5.8 per game as well as shooting 60 percent from the floor which is fourth in the conference. Long leads the team in assists at 4.1 per game which is seventh in the SSC while Marion is ninth at 3.9 assists per night. Silveira is also fifth in the SSC swatting 1.5 shots per game while Long (1.7) and Braxton Barnhizer (1.6) are 12th and 13th in the conference in steals per game.
The Lions were a 74-65 loser to Lake Superior State last time out. Kannon Koster paced Saint Leo with 19, Greyson Pritzi had 12, and Cantia Rahming added 10. The Lions score 80.2 points per game which is ninth in the conference while defensively they give up an SSC sixth best 78.4 points per night. They shoot 47.6 percent from the field which is fifth in the SSC while they shoot are tied for eighth on the defensive end allowing the opposition to shoot 44.6 percent. The Lions lead the SSC shooting a blistering 40.7 percent from the 3-point line. On defense they are fourth in the conference as the opposition shoots 31.9 percent from long range. The Lions are tied for second with the Tars shooting 76.5 percent at the free throw line. The Lions are being out rebounded by 0.9 boards per contest as well. Koster leads the SSC in scoring putting up 19 points per game, Grant Disken gets 14.5 per night, Pritz scores 12.5 per game, nd Ramming gets 11 per night. Rahming is second in the SSC grabbing 11.5 rebounds per contest.
