Rollins Seeks Elusive Win In Miami

 The Rollins College Tars (3-8 0-4 SSC) look to snap a six game losing streak and win at a place that has not been kind to them in the past when they take on the Barry University Buccaneers (7-4 0-3 SSC) in Miami Shores tonight.  The Tars last win was on 11/22 when they took down Puerto Rico Bayamon 105-68. Rollins comes into this evenings contest averaging an SSC low 73.1 points per game. The Tars give up an SSC fourth best 76.2 points per night on the defensive end. Rollins shoots 44.4 percent from the field which sits 10th in the SSC while they give up a 44.2 percent field goal percentage which is eighth in the conference. The Tars are at the bottom of the conference in both 3-point shooting percentage (27.4 percent) and 3-point percentage defense (36 percent.) Rollins shoots 75.5 percent from the free throw line which is fourth in the SSC, while on the glass they are ninth in the conference beating out rebounded by 0.5 (35.7-36.2) rebounds per night. Matheus Silveira leads the Tars in points (17 per game) which is ninth in the SSC, rebounds (5.7 per contest,) field goal percentage (an SSC third best 60.6 percent,) and blocked shots (an SSC fifth best 1.5 per night.) Kyle Marion scores 15.2 points per game, dishes out an SSC fourth best 4.3 assists per night, is 10th in the conference in assist to turnover ratio, gets an SSC fourth best 2.1 steals per game, and is playing an SSC sixth most 31.9 minutes per contest. Sergey Grishaev is coming off a career high 20 points last time out and is scoring nine points per game. The last time out for the Tars was a 77-62 loss to Saint Leo on Saturday. Marion and Silveira had 12 points each to join Grishaev who had 20 in that contest. Rollins led 29-28 at the half on Saturday. 

 Barry scores an SSC second best 92.2 points per game while on defense they are giving up an SSC eighth best 81.2 points per night. Barry is eighth in the conference shooting 45.8 percent from the field while defensively they are 10th letting the opposition shoot 44.5 percent. The Bucs shoot 40 percent from the 3-point line which is fourth in the SSC, while they allow the opposition shoots just 30.2 percent from long range which makes them third on the defensive end guarding the 3-point line. They are tied for fifth in the conference shooting 75.2 percent at the free throw line. Barry has rebounded the ball well as they are third in the conference getting 4.6 (42.5-37.9) more rebounds than the opposition. Nick Anderson (18.5 points per game as well as third in the SSC, James Montgomery puts up 18.2 per game which is fifth in the SSC and Malik Stanley 16.9 points per night (10th in the SSC) lead the Buccaneers in scoring, while Adren Roberts puts up 11.2 per contest. Roberts also leads the team in rebounding at 6.4 per night. Montgomery shoots 55.2 percent while Anderson shoots 47.7 percent from the field which are seventh and 10th in the conference respectively. Stanley is just outside the top 10 in the SSC dishing out 3.8 assists per game while Montgomery and Anderson sit ninth and 10th in the conference in minutes played. Barry is coming off a 80-79 loss to Eckerd on Saturday. Anderson poured in a game high 32 points while Stanley added 11 in the defeat.
