Rollins Travels To Lynn Wednesday

 The Rollins College Tars (8-16 5-12 SSC) head to Lynn to take on the Fighting Knights (14-8 9-7 SSC) on Wednesday night at 7:30 PM at the deHoernle Sports Center. You can catch all the action on SunshineStateConference.TV and on 91.5 FM WPRK Winter Park. 

 Last time out Rollins fell 79-77 to the University of Tampa. Silveira had 20 points, Marion added 19, Dylan Wolle netted 17, and Braxton Barnhizer scored 10. They shot 46.6 percent from the field, 11-25 (44 percent) from the 3-point line, and 80 percent (12-15) from the free throw line. Rollins scores 76.2 points per game which is at the bottom of the SSC, they shoot an SSC seventh best 46 percent from the floor, an SSC 10th best 33.3 percent from the 3-point line, an SSC eighth best 72.9 percent from the free throw line, worst in turnover margin, and seventh in assist to turnover ratio. On the defensive end they are fifth allowing a 44.6 percent field goal percentage, 35.8 percent from the 3-point line (eighth in the SSC,) on the glass they are 10th being out rebounded by 2.1 (36.3-38.4) boards per contest. They are third in assists per game (17.38) and swat 3.29 shots per game (seventh in the SSC.) Silveira leads the team scoring 17.2 points per game which is seventh in the conference, is tops in the SSC in field goal percentage (61.1 percent,) leads the team in rebounds (6.1.) He is also tied for sixth in the SSC in blocks at 1.3 per game. Marion puts up 14.4 per night while he is sixth in the conference in assists at 4.2 per game, he also leads the team in steals at 1.5 per night. Sergey Grishaev rounds out the double digit scorers at 11.7 per game while Cody Potter is fifth in 3-point percentage in the SSC (43 percent.) In the first meeting with Lynn a 80-77 overtime loss in December Silveira had 18, Marion had 16, and Wolle netted 14. 

 Lynn is coming off a 87-79 loss to Florida Southern last time out. Tradavis Thompson had 24, Nordin Kapic scored 23, Ben Gahlert had 15, and Brad McCable tallied 11. They score an SSC sixth best 85.2 points per game, shoot an SSC eighth best 45.7 percent from the field and an SSC ninth best 35.8 percent from the 3-point line. They shoot at a 73.3 percent clip from the free throw line which is seventh in the conference, are seventh in turnover margin and second in assist to turnover ratio. They dish out an SSC fifth best 16.95 assists per game.On the defensive end they give up an SSC ninth best 85 points per game, allow 45.9 percent shooting from the field (10th in the SSC) and 34.8 percent from three (sixth SSC.) On the glass they are fourth in the conference at +1.8 (40.5-38.7) boards per night. They block an SSC 10th best 2.68 shots per game. Kapic leads the SSC in scoring at 19.8 points per game while he is fifth in the conference in rebounding at 9.1 per night. He is also eighth in field goal percentage (50.8 percent.) Jalen Gilmore shoots 39.5 percent from the 3-point line which leads the team as well. Kapic is 10th in blocks per game at one per night. Thompson (17.2 ppg,) Gahlert (12.3,) Jamison Evans (11.6 ppg) and Gilmore (10.0) all average in double figures. Gilmore leads the team and is second in the SSC in assists (5.4 per game) as well. In the first meeting with the Tars Gahlert had 18, Jamison 16, Kopic 14, and Thompson netted 10.
