Nova, ERAU, Southern Advance to Sunday.

 All three teams from the Sunshine State Conference who received bids to the NCAA Tournament South Region advanced to Sunday. Top seeded Nova Southeastern rolled past eighth seeded Benedict 115-95 at Rick Case Arena. #5 Embry-Riddle drubbed #4 Alabama Huntsville 104-78. #3 Florida Southern got past #6 Clark-Atlanta 80-72 and second seeded West Georgia was a 75-61 winner over Lee.

Rollins Knocks Off Barry.

 The Rollins College Tars went down to Miami Shores and picked up their first conference win of the season as they knocked off Barry 86-79. With the win Rollins improves to 4-4 and 1-2 in the SSC. Barry falls to 3-3 and 1-2 in the SSC.   Kyle Marion paced the Tars with 18 points, Matheus Silviera netted 17 and grabbed nine rebounds, John Latimer knocked down three 3-pointer on his way to 16 points, while Hutton Yenor tallied 14. Rollins shot 55.8 percent from the field, 57.1 percent (8-14) from the 3-point line, 74 percent (20-27) from the free throw line.  Nick Anderson led Barry with 29, Malik Stanley scored 12, and both Jason Williams and Rusty Moorer scored 10. Tars Set To Battle Eckerd Wednesday.

 The Rollins College Tars return home to face the Eckerd College Tritons on Wednesday at Warden Arena. You can catch all the action on RollinsSports.com and on 91.5 FM WPRK Winter Park with Jim "Shooter"Ferro and Robert Siegel on the call.   Rollins (8-9 3-6 SSC) is coming off a 90-83 overtime win at Saint Leo on Saturday. The Tars were led by 28 points from Hutton Yenor, Kyle Marion added 25, Cade Long tallied 13, and Dayton Gumm scored 11. Marion, Silveira, Barnhizer combine for 51 in Road Loss To Florida Tech.

 Rollins College got a combined 51 points from the trio of Matheus Silveira, Kyle Marion, and Braxton Barnhizer but it was not nearly enough in a 96-73 road loss to Florida Tech at the Charles & Ruth Clemente Center. With the loss Rollins drops to 3-3 (0-1 SSC.) The Panthers improve to a perfect 6-0 on the season.   Barnhizer hit a pair of 3-pointer's in the games first 1:47 and the Tars led 6-1. Chase Thompson and Rashaan Edwards hit triples of their own to put the Panthers up 7-6. Barnhizer's third straight triple gave Rollins a 9-7 lead at the 16:55 mark of the first half. The lead was short-lived as a 3-pointer and a layup by Thompson put FIT ahead by a score of 12-9. Silveira and McCullough traded dunks before a Silveira jumper trimmed the Panthers lead to one (14-13) five minutes into this one.
