Senior Day At Warden Arena Closes Regular Season

 The Rollins College Tars (8-18 5-14 SSC) will close the regular season on Saturday at 4 PM when they take on the Barry Buccaneers (15-12 8-11 SSC) at Warden Arena. Tip time is set for 4 PM.  Rollins is coming of a 106-84 loss to Florida Southern on Wednesday night. The trio of Matheus Silveira, Sergey Grishaev, and Kyle Marion combined for 64 points in the loss for the Tars. In the first meeting with Barry (a 77-75 win on 1.3) Silveria had 17, Cody Potter scored 16, Braxton Barnhizer added 13, and Dylan Wolle tallied 10. The Tars score an SSC 10th best 76.7 points per game, shoot an SSC fifth best 46 percent from the field, shoot 33.2 percent from the 3-point line which is 10th in the SSC, shoot free throws at 72.2 percent which is eighth in the SSC, are last in turnover margin, seventh in assist to turnover ratio, while they are second in the SSC dishing out 17.6 assists per game. On the defensive end they are ninth giving up 84 points per game, fifth allowing the opposition to shoot 44.6 percent from the field, seventh at guarding the 3-point line (35.7 percent,) are -3.4 on the glass (36-1-39.5,) while they block 3.3 shots per game which is seventh in the SSC. Silveria leads the team and is fourth in the SSC scoring 17.5 points per game, he continues to lead the conference in field goal percentage (60.5 percent,) and blocks an SSC seventh best 1.3 shots per game. He also leads the team in rebounding at six per contest. Marion scores 14.7 per game and dishes out an SSC sixth best 4.2 assists per night, his 1.5 steals per game also lead the Tars. Grishaev rounds out the double digit scorers at 12.4 per night. 

 Barry comes in off of a 91-82 loss to Embry-Riddle last time out. Gabe Hernandez paced the Bucs with 25, Nick Anderson had 17, and OT Delancey tallied 17. In the loss to Rollins in January James Montgomery had 17, Adren Roberts and Ga'Khari Lacount added 16, and Delancey netted 13. Barry scores an SSC fourth best 85.7 points per game, shoots 44.2 percent which is 10th in the SSC, shoots an SSC third best 38.6 percent from the 3-point line, shoots free throws at an SSC third best 75.9 percent clip, dishes out 14.67 assists per game which is eighth in the SSC, while they are third in turnover margin and ninth in assist to turnover ratio. On defense Barry is gives up an SSC sixth best 81.4 points per game, are fourth in opponent field goal percentage (44.3 percent,) lead the conference at guarding the 3-point line (32.8 percent,) while they are eighth in the SSC being out rebounded by 0.7 (39.9-40.6) rebounds per night. BU blocks 4.15 shots per game which is third in the SSC. Nick Anderson and Montgomery  lead the team in scoring at 17 points per game, while Montgomery also leads the SSC in rebounds per game at 12.4. Montgomery is ninth in field goal percentage at 47.8 percent in the conference. Roberts is fifth in the SSC blocking 1.4 shots per game while Lacount leads the team in steals at 1.6 per night. Malik Stanley (16 per game) and Delancey (11.4) also average in double figures. Lacount leads the team in assists with 63 while Anderson and Montgomery are fourth and eighth respectively in minutes played per night.
