Rollins Rolls As Wolle And Jobe Post Carrer Highs.

 The Rollins College Tars got career highs from Dylan Wolle (18 points) and William Jobe (15 points) as they rolled to a 114-60 win over the Beacon College Blazers on Tuesday night. With the win Rollins improves to 5-3 on the season while Beacon falls to 1-7 after the defeat. 

 The Tars jumped the Blazers with the first nine points of the game and never looked back. After Ian Hart and Beau Frericks hit back to back triples Rollins had a 21-5 lead at the 14:51 mark of the opening half. That lead grew to 22 (31-9) after a Michael Kalina triple with 11:44 until halftime. After a Jared Carter 3-pointer for Beacon the Tars ran off the next six points. The lead would grow to 31 (46-15) after a pair of Sergey Grishav free throws. The Blazers scored the next five points on a Tony Wade triple and a tip in by Ernesto Hichez. Rollins would ultimately take a 64-26 lead into the locker room. Rollins shot 72.2 percent in the opening half, 53.85 percent (7-13) from the 3-point line and 83.3 percent (5-6) at the free throw line. For Beacon they shot 36.67 percent in the first half, 50 percent (6-12) from the 3-point line, and did not attempt a free throw in the opening stanza. 

 The second half was much like the first as Rollins would grow the lead to 42 after a pair of Frericks free throws. The lead would balloon to 50 (95-45) after a Wolle 3-ball at the 7:08 mark. Rollins would lead by as many as 55 before walking away with the 54 point win. Joining Wolle and Jobe in double figures were John Latimer and Butkus who each had 11, and Michael Nieman who scored 10. All 12 Tars who saw action on Tuesday scored including the first four points of the season from Caleb Samuel. As a team the Tars shot a sizzling 62.5 percent from the field, 46.4 percent (13-28) from the 3-point line, and 91.7 percent (11-12) at the free throw line. Rollins dominated the rebounding battle 43-24. They had 28 assists and just five turnovers in the contest. They were also +36 (50-14) in the paint. 

 For the Blazers they were paced by 25 points from Carter while Hichez added 12, and Wade notched eight. Beacon shot 35 percent from the field, 37 percent (10-27) from the 3-point line, and 88.9 percent (8-9) from the free throw line. They had nine assists and 15 turnovers in the contest.
