Willingham Triple Lifts Minnesota State To DII Title.

 Kyreese Willingham knocked down a three pointer with .8 seconds left to lift the Minnesota State Mankato Mavericks to a 88-85 win and the D2 national title on Saturday night. Dylan Peeters led five Mavericks in double figures with 19 points. Justin Eagins added 17, while the trio of Malik and Kyreese Willingham along with Harrison Brandis each had 12. Minnesota State shot 52.4 percent from the field, 43.8 percent (14-32) from the 3-point line, and 57.1 percent (8-14) at the free throw line. They had 18 assists and 18 turnovers in the contest. The championship clinching win made the Mavericks 35-2 on the season.   The Sharks were led by MJ Iraldi with 25, Shane Hunter had 19 to go along with 10 rebounds, Isiah Fuller notched 12, and Ryder Cisarik added 11. NSU- Minnesota State Set For Title Game Saturday

 The Nova Southeastern University Sharks and the Minnesota State Mankato Mavericks are set for a title game showdown Saturday at 3 PM on CBS. The second seeded Sharks were a 91-77 winner over #6 Cal State Bernardino in Thursday's semifinal.  Three of the top four seeds from the NCAA Division II reseed have made it to the DII Semifinals at the Ford Center in Evansville, Indiana. Top seeded Minnesota State Mankato rolled past Ferris State 98-70 on Tuesday. They will take on fourth seeded West Texas A&M. The Buffaloes and Mavericks will tip at 4:30 PM on Thursday. #2 seed Nova Southeastern rallied from a double digit halftime deficit to knock off #7 Southern New Hampshire 68-60. NSU Rolls To Regional Title

 The top ranked Nova Southeastern University Sharks are the top ranked team in the country and on Tuesday night they showed why with a 98-66 drubbing of third seeded Florida Southern to secure a second straight South Region Championship. NSU stayed perfect (20-0) at home on the year and the defending national championship will travel to Evansville, Indiana for the Elite Eight. The Mocs see the season come to an end at 23-10.   The game saw four ties and four lead changes in the early going but the trio of Trey Doomes (19 points,) MJ Iraldi (15,) and Shane Hunter (14) led the Sharks. NSU shot 47.5 percent from the field, 27.8 percent (5-27) from the 3-point line, and 89.5 percent (17-19) from the free throw line in the win. NSU had 13 assists, 11 turnovers, and dominated the board 49-32. They scored 25 points off of 22 Mocs turnovers.  The Florida Southern Moccassins outlasted the West Georgia Wolves 93-87 in overtime to set up an All-SSC South Regional Final against the top seeded Nova Southeastern Sharks. Tars Complete Sweep Of Bucs On Senior Day

 The Rollins College Tars completed the season sweep of the Barry Buccaneers with a 87-77 win at Warden Arena on Saturday. With the win Rollins concludes the season at 9-18 and 6-14 in the SSC. With the loss Barry drops to 15-13 and 8-12 in the SSC.   Rollins was paced by Matheus Silveira who had 26 points and 11 rebounds, Sergey Grishaev added 24 points and 13 rebounds, Kyle Marion netted 22 points and dished out six assists, while Cade Long tallied 12. Barry was led by Adren Roberts and Michael Bradley who each had 15, Nick Anderson added 14, and James Montgomery scored 11.  The game went back and forth in the early going until a 7-0 Tars run gave them a 10-5 lead after a Marion 3-pointer at the 16:41 mark. Senior Day At Warden Arena Closes Regular Season

 The Rollins College Tars (8-18 5-14 SSC) will close the regular season on Saturday at 4 PM when they take on the Barry Buccaneers (15-12 8-11 SSC) at Warden Arena. Tip time is set for 4 PM. In addition Saturday will be senior day. You can catch all the action on 91.5 FM WPRK and on SunshineStateConference.TV   Rollins is coming of a 106-84 loss to Florida Southern on Wednesday night. The trio of Matheus Silveira, Sergey Grishaev, and Kyle Marion combined for 64 points in the loss for the Tars. In the first meeting with Barry (a 77-75 win on 1.3) Silveria had 17, Cody Potter scored 16, Braxton Barnhizer added 13, and Dylan Wolle tallied 10.
