Grishaev's Career Day Not Enough As Tars Drop Sixth Straight.

 Sergey Grishaev scored a career high 20 points, grabbed eight rebounds, and dished out four assists. He was joined in double figures by Kyle Marion and Matheus Silveira with 12 each in a 77-62 loss to Saint Leo at Warden Arena Saturday.  Marion added eight assists.With the loss Rollins drops to 3-8 and 0-4 in the SSC. Saint Leo improves to 7-5 and 2-2 in the SSC. Rollins shot 40.3 percent from the field, went just 3-26 from the 3-point line (11.5 percent,) and 5-9 (55.6 percent) from the free throw line. Rollins won the rebounding battle 44-42. They had 18 assists and 11 turnovers.   Saint Leo was led by 25 points from Logan Ryan, Kanon Koster had 21, and Cantia Rahming added 15. The Lions shot 41.2 percent from the field, 40 percent 16-40) from the 3-point line, and 55.6 percent (5-9) from the free throw line. Rollins Looks To Snap Skid.

 The Rollins College Tars (3-7 0-3) SSC look to snap a five game losing skid when they take on the Saint Leo Lions (6-5 1-2 SSC) at Warden Arena on Saturday. Four Tars In Double Figures As Tars Drop Fifth Straight.

 Four Rollins College players scored in double figures but it was not enough as Rollins fell 81-70 to Montana State Billings at Ocean Center in the second day of the Daytona Beach Shootout. Matheus Silveria had 20, Kyle Marion and Sergey Grishaev each had 15, and Cade Long scored 10 as Rollins fell to 3-7 on the year with a fifth straight defeat. The Yellow jackets improved to 8-4 with the win.   It was 7-0 Yellow Jackets to start this one before a Grishaev jumper at the 17:11 mark got the Tars on the board. Down 13-4 Rollins got a jumper from Silveira and a Cade Long triple to cut the lead to four (13-9) at the 15:12 mark of the first half. The lead would be stretched to double digits as Ky Kouba would hit back to back 3-pointer's to make it 27-16 Billings at the 11:34 mark of the half. Marion and Silveira Score In Double Figures As Tars Fall In Daytona.

 Sunday afternoon featured day one of the Daytona Beach Shootout at Ocean Center. The Rollins College Tars got 20 points from Kyle Marion while Matheus Silveira added 10 in a 70-55 loss to #19 Angelo State. With the loss Rollins drops to 3-6 on the year. The Rams improved to 9-1 with the win.   Shemar Smith got the Rams on the board first with a dunk. Rollins got a free throw from Matheus Silveria and then a basket by Silveria put the Tars ahead 3-2. A 3-pointer by Keysh Embry-Simpson gave the Rams a 5-3 lead. Rollins knotted it at five after a Marion jumper at the 16:38 mark of the opening half. A 20-3 run by Angelo State gave the Rams a double digit lead before Marion and Silveira each scored to cut the lead to 13 (25-12) at the 7:19 mark. Rollins Set To Face #19 Angleo State and Montana State Billings In the Daytona Beach Shootout.

 The Rollins College Tars head to Daytona Beach for the Daytona Beach Shootout. On Sunday the Tars will take on #19 Angelo State at 3 PM. The following day (Monday) the Tars will take on Montana State Billings with another 3 PM tipoff. Rollins Falls To Lynn In Overtime.

 The Rollins College Tars trailed by 13 points at halftime and rallied to force overtime but fell 80-77 at Warden Arena on Saturday. Matheus Silveira scored 18 points, Kyle Marion added 16, and Dylan Wolle scored 14 in the loss. Rollins falls to 3-5 on the year and 0-3 in the SSC. Lynn was paced by Ben Gahlert with 18 points,Jamison Evans had 16, Jalen Gilmore added seven. points and a team leading 12 assists, Nordan Kapic added 14 points and 10 rebounds, while Tradavis Thompson added 10. Rollins Falls To PBA Despite Career Highs From Wolle and Kronague.

 The Rollins College Tars hit the road on Saturday to take on the Palm Beach Atlantic Sailfish. Despite a double-double from Matheus Silveira and career highs from Dylan Wolle and Jack Kronague the Tars fell 85-70 to the Sailfish. With the win PBA stayed perfect at home on the season and ran off a sixth straight win to get to 7-1 on the year and 2-0 in the SSC. Rollins drops to 3-4 and 0-2 in the SSC after the loss.   The Sailfish jumped out to a 10-0 lead in the games first three minutes after a Marcus Montalvo 3-pointer. The lead grew to 14-1 after a dunk by Broderick Ellis with 15:16 until halftime. The lead would grow to as many as 18 before Rollins scored four straight points as Silveira made a layup and a pair of free throws to make it 28-14 PBA with 5:07 until halftime. Kyle Marion led the Tars with 21 points, seven rebounds, and six assists in the contest. Matheus Silveira added 19 points and Braxton Barnhizer added 11. Rollins averages 78.3 points per game which is 10th in the SSC while defensively they give up an SSC fifth best 74.2 points per night.
